Dear SHOUT OUT Team Members,
Certainly, this has been an unusual year at Kuriakos. The facility has remained closed to guests and our programming has successfully moved online ( check it out if you haven't been able to join us yet!).
But... the facility hasn't been empty. We've hosted volunteers and staff on dozens of projects around the site, maintaining our buildings and preparing for the next time we can host campers.
NEW THIS MONTH
Capital projects this winter - volunteers needed
- We're repainting the KC dorms this winter and need ten volunteers to paint two rooms each.
- We need stainers and carpenters to replace trim boards throughout the KC. Training provided!
Current campaign successes
- Tractor ($30,000) - 16 donors have given $28,000 (only $2000 to go!)
- Fall Campaign (capital projects) - 37 donors have raised $13,500
- Run4Camp (capital projects) - 34 donors and 14 participants have raised $2,400
- 90th Anniversary (operating budget) - raised $71,000 of our $90,000 goal
- Zoom meetings will include opportunities for interaction and discussion
- Suggested donation of $50 per program
- 2nd Thursday of the month, from November to April (6 sessions)
- 7-8:30pm, meeting on Zoom
- Topics pertinent to Youth Ministry and upcoming leaders in your congregation
- 7pm on 2nd Sunday - Shared on YouTube and Facebook. Join the chat and sing along!
- 7pm on 4th Sunday - Live on ZOOM. Interact with the Kuriakos community
- This is shared with Lutheran camps across Canada. We’ve invited their communities to join us!
