Back to School: Q&A with Alumni Serving at Dalat
Did you know that several alumni serve at Dalat as staff? In this feature section, we’ll update you on these Penang-based alumni and what they’ve been up to.
Keith Henderson, Class of 1984
Keith (third from left) and Rachelle (second from right) with their dorm family.
What are you currently doing?
Rachelle and I came back to Dalat in 2000 and were dorm parents for three years, and now we have been back again (as dorm parents) for two years.
What is a great memory from your time at Dalat?
Two things that really stood out to me was being involved in every sport. We were so small back then if you could walk and chew gum, you played sports. I remember having to be on the track & field team because they needed a third person to have pole vaulting! Didn’t clear the opening height, but I got third place!
SEW and MEW weeks were always big too, a time to refocus our attention and lives on God. Along with my senior pic in the year book, my ambition was to be a missionary… and here I am!

Flashback: Before & After
We all love a good trip down memory lane. Sometimes all it takes is a familiar smell or a certain taste to evoke an old memory—maybe not many will know this, but it is good to see how things once were on campus. The old black and white picture is the British military outdoor cafe/tavern - our new Dorms are now there!
Do you have a flashback photo you’d like to share? Send it our way and we’ll post it in the next newsletter.

Monthly Giving Helps to Support Dalat’s Mission Families
It’s a challenging time for many families in today’s uncertain times. Mission families are counting on Dalat to continue to provide quality Christian education for their children. A growing group of alumni who believe deeply in Dalat’s work have committed to giving monthly to help make this possible.
If you can help too, please consider setting up a monthly donation through RCE International to support Dalat’s MK students. Recurring contributions mean that Dalat’s commitment to quality Christian education continues, and more families can access affordable Christian education for their children.
Any size gift helps us grow the Missionary Kids Scholarship Fund. By becoming a monthly donor, you help strengthen and stabilize our good work here in Southeast Asia.
Learn more by visiting our Monthly Giving page and please contact us at development@dalat.org with any questions.
