Mockumentaries! We love 'em! What's reality, anyway? On this very special Tuesday next after the first Monday in the month of November, it's not a question we can answer… BUT we can let you know of an exciting #2020TFF virtual engagement coming up on Monday, Nov 9: You're invited to a Zoom Q&A with the filmmakers of In A Silent Way, in conversation with KNKX New Cool & Jazz Host, Abe Beeson.

In A Silent Way [Nov 6–12is a feature film dark comedy about a young modern jazz musician who dreams of success on a grand scale, but can’t seem to overcome his selfishness in order to understand the value of the musicians next to him. It's based on the hilarious jazz comedy short of the same name. The film's Kickstarter campaign reached its goal in less than 12 hours!

"This film is a faux-documentary. In the likes of Christopher Guest films and The Office. It's like if Michael Scott started a jazz band."

NOTE: All #2020TFF films/programs can be viewed by the ticketholder for 72 hours once starting the film/program. This is true even if it is a film's last day—as long as tickets are purchased before 11:59pm PST on the final day of a film's run, the ticketholder will have 72 hours to watch once pressing play. All tickets are available for purchase now; a film's screening dates indicate when the viewer can begin watching. All feature films (such as In A Silent Way) are only available to viewers in Washington state. Short film programs are available to all viewers in the United States.

Do I have to have a pass to watch films?

You do not need a pass to participate in the festival. Single tickets are $10. Browse the program and view the schedule; then head over to Elevent to buy tickets.

What is the Multiviewer ticket/pass option?

The Multiviewer ticket/pass option is for 2 or more people enjoying TFF in the same household. Films cannot be started on one device and then changed to another, whether you have purchased an individual or multiviewer ticket/pass. We offer this as a way to support TFF during the pandemic and beyond (thank you for your support and considering this option!).

Why does my ticket say the film/program begins at midnight?

In the TFF virtual fest experience, the viewer actually decides on their own when to start watching the films and programs, once they are available for viewing. Films/programs are scheduled in 3, 7, or 10-day blocks, becoming available on Friday, November 6 / Monday, November 9 / or Friday, November 13. Refer to the schedule to see this visualized.

Films and programs may be watched as many times as the viewer desires within 72 hours of pressing play. This is true even when it is the final day of a film/program's scheduled run. For example, the film The Fever (A Febre) is available for viewing during the 7-day block of November 6–12. If the ticket-holder begins watching the film on November 12, it will still be viewable for 72 hours after pressing play.

THREE. DAYS. 'TIL. TFF! Buy tickets now; you'll get reminders for when viewing begins on each film/program.
