The Nellie Gail Moulton fine art collection was conserved in 2018 to 2020. Each painting and sketch has been carefully conserved for long-term preservation. This treatment extends the lifespan of each piece for future generations to enjoy. We recommend that you consider this long-term treatment plan for your own family's heirlooms.
The Moulton Museum works with a consortium of archivists, appraisers, conservators, curators, and photographers who have worked to preserve the fine art collection. Our best practices for your own pieces include a routine cleaning, digital imaging, and giclée reproduction. Rather than hanging your original painting on a mantel that is exposed to extreme heat, consider framing a giclée. You will be able to retain the household tradition while limiting the original to environmental fluctuations.
