The first meeting of our new Council will be held on 18 November 2020 at 9:30am.

This meeting will include the formal activities of:
🔸 Swearing in Ceremony (new Councillors)
🔸 Declaration of Councillor Code of Conduct
🔸 Notice of intention to set Mayor and Councillor allowances
🔸 Election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor

🔸 Swearing in of Councillors and Election of Mayor
🔸 Committee Delegates

More details will be made available next week.


The draft Annual Report for 2020 has been endorsed for public review. The Report is available as a pdf on Council's website


The 2020 Council Elections have now been decided. 

Dunmunkle Ward (uncontested) Corinne Heintze and Tom Hamilton
Hopetoun Ward (successful candidates) Chris Lehmann and Andrew McLean
Warracknabeal Ward (successful candidates) Graeme Massey, Kylie Zanker & Karly Kirk

We'd like to welcome Sam Cooper to our team. Sam is our new apprentice who has transitioned from a School Based Apprenticeship to a Full-Time Apprenticeship, undertaking Certificate III in Horticulture Parks and Gardens. Commencing in October, Sam has joined our Central Operations Team. Welome aboard, Sam!

Skillinvest on behalf of Yarriambiak Shire Council, are seeking applications for two apprenticeships, located in Hopetoun and Minyip.

These positions are an entry level position and the successful applicants will complete a Certificate qualification in Civil Construction.  Click here to find out more.

The Warracknabeal Leisure Centre is back up and running and we'd love to see you there enjoying the facilities. There are still some restrictions and COVID requirements in place. The opening hours and contact information can be found on Council's website
Warracknabeal Playgroup is returning!

It is very exciting to have playgroup returning. Due to current COVID restrictions, there will be some new guidelines for members before attending.
