Thanks for Making LABS 2020 a
Great Success

We are pleased to share that our inaugural Adapted Sport LABS presented on October 15 was a great success! More than 850 sport leaders logged in for eight dynamic and thoughtful sessions led by 28 amazing speakers and panelists throughout the day. We are excited and blown away by your participation in these important and meaningful discussions and look forward to continuing the momentum and turning it into action in the months ahead!

A few final LABS highlights to share:
  • THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS – We’d like to extend a big thank you to our sponsors, Lakeshore Foundation and Bridge II Sports, for their support of the LABS vision. We truly could not have put on a successful event without support from these wonderful organizations!
  • SESSION RECORDINGS – All LABS sessions were recorded and are available to view here. If you missed anything, this is a great way to catch up. Please share the recordings with your colleagues and others in your network who may be interested.
  • FINAL SURVEY – We are already thinking ahead to LABS 2021 and want to continue providing sessions on the topics you find most valuable. If you attended LABS and haven't had a chance to provide feedback, there's still time to participate. You can access the survey here (it should take no more than 2 minutes to complete).

"Robust" "A fantastic line-up of speakers” "Excellent experience"

These are just a few of the powerful words our attendees have shared so far about their LABS 2020 experiences. LABS brought us all together virtually for the productive, meaningful conversations to help advance the adapted sport movement forward and expand our impact.

Stay tuned for ways to keep these ideas moving forward!

Benchmark Adapted Sport Economic Impact Study Results Shared at LABS

In the months leading up to LABS, All In Sport Consulting partnered with Stitch Marketing Research and the Huddle Up Group to launch a survey focused on the economic impact of the adapted sport industry. We appreciate the 55 adapted sport organizations across the country that participated.

This was a first-of-its-kind study and we are pleased to share the enlightening results with the most impressive estimates that indicate the;

  • Total economic impact of adapted sport and para-related tourism events nationwide likely ranges from approximately $80.5 to $134.2 million annually.
    • This estimated range is based on compilations from the 134 adapted sport events reported in the survey and the 2019 Economic Impact (EI) survey data from Sports & Events Tourism Association (SportsETA).
We encourage you to listen to the LABS Economic Impact session to review all the data and the entire presentation.

This data demonstrates how disability sport contributes in big ways to local and regional economies. Our goal is that it puts adapted sport leaders in more powerful and proactive positions when it comes to negotiating on behalf of athletes, programs, and events.

We are already anticipating more organizations completing the 2021 survey so that we continue to have robust data that is even more reflective of the great work of this industry. If you'd like to be included, please contact us

Building Awareness for the Movement

All In Sport Consulting had the privilege of presenting information related to the adapted sport movement recently to sport leaders with the Oregon Sports Summit and Sports Philanthropy World. We're thrilled that sport leaders outside mainstream disability sport recognize and acknowledge the importance of including conversations about the adapted sport movement.

As many in this community know, October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). All In Sport Consulting is honored to have been invited by Dr. Rory Cooper and the University of Pittsburgh's Office of Diversity and Inclusion to participate on a panel, "NDEAM at 75: Employment of People with Disabilities – Progress To Date and Future Directions."

We always hope that these engagements lead to continued discussions and help us build more awareness and momentum for the movement.
Please share the All In Sport Connector Newsletter with industry friends and colleagues. We look forward to building a strong network of information sharing.
