Benchmark Adapted Sport Economic Impact Study Results Shared at LABS
In the months leading up to LABS, All In Sport Consulting partnered with Stitch Marketing Research and the Huddle Up Group to launch a survey focused on the economic impact of the adapted sport industry. We appreciate the 55 adapted sport organizations across the country that participated.
This was a first-of-its-kind study and we are pleased to share the enlightening results with the most impressive estimates that indicate the;
- Total economic impact of adapted sport and para-related tourism events nationwide likely ranges from approximately $80.5 to $134.2 million annually.
- This estimated range is based on compilations from the 134 adapted sport events reported in the survey and the 2019 Economic Impact (EI) survey data from Sports & Events Tourism Association (SportsETA).
We encourage you to listen to the LABS Economic Impact session to review all the data and the entire presentation.
This data demonstrates how disability sport contributes in big ways to local and regional economies. Our goal is that it puts adapted sport leaders in more powerful and proactive positions when it comes to negotiating on behalf of athletes, programs, and events.
We are already anticipating more organizations completing the 2021 survey so that we continue to have robust data that is even more reflective of the great work of this industry. If you'd like to be included, please contact us.
