Twinklingly,
The Lamplighters of Westdene
THE WESTDENE HALLOWEEN TRAIL
What a Magnificent Community Westdene is!

Fare thee well Witches of Westdene for 2020
They were blown away by your Halloween party
When their incantation summoned a giant Blue Moon
Rose tens of houses of impending doom

The Bone Shack was shaking, Guthrie's Ghoulish Ground rumbling
When out of The Witches Tavern came tumbling…
The people of Westdene venturing out for the night
Haunting the streets, cackling and looking for frights

At Graveyards and Dungeons they gathered entranced
While the Witches of Westdene, oh how they danced
Giant Spiders, Silhouettes and Lost Souls on Poles
Dungeons, Bone Crunchers and Ghastly Ghost Dolls

Shall we summon the Witches of Westdene again
To make maps and cast spells and ward off the rain?

THE BARN IS CURRENTLY CLOSED
The Barn is now closed until at least December 2nd with the exception of a small number of educational activities.

During the closure, the Barn will be further upgraded with a keyless electronic door lock system to further reduce the possibilities of infection transmission through touch.

Restrictions and Government rules
In line with Government rules the Barn will be closed for events and activities with these exceptions:
  • education and training (including for schools to use sports and leisure facilities where that is part of their normal provision)
  • childcare purposes and supervised activities for children
Hirers who believe that their activities and events fall under these categories and have some evidence to support this (eg guidance from their governing bodies) should let us know. We have to be strict about this because, quite apart from our desire to keep people safe, there will be penalties for individuals and organisations who ignore or misinterpret the rules.

Keeping You Informed
New improved community noticeboards dotted around Westdene will keep you in the picture and the Barn noticeboards, inside and out will be updated frequently.
Make sure you are signed up to our e-newsletter and like our Facebook Page for the latest information.
