AHCA/NCAL Education on Impact of Covid19 on Residents and Staff
AHCA/NCAL announced the release of a three-part webinar series that addresses the extraordinary strains the COVID-19 pandemic has on nursing facility and assisted living residents and staff. The online educational series titled Grief, Trauma, & the Impact of COVID-19 on Residents and Staff offers 3.5 NAB CEs or 3.0 nurse contact hours for individuals purchasing the training. Interest in the program has been robust, including requests to allow a facility/organization to register multiple staff members and offer CEs – a registration option not previously available. We have added that registration option and included discounts when a facility/organization registers five or more individuals. Below are the details:
Purchase Option #3 – Group Purchase with CEs – Facilities/organizations may register a group of individuals who are interested in taking the training and receiving CE credit. Each participant must complete all three training modules and successfully pass a final quiz with a grade of 80 or above to receive credit. Discounts are offered for facilities/organizations registering five or more individuals. Specific instructions need to be followed to successfully register multiple individuals from a single facility or organization.
Testing Flyer for Staff
NMHCA/NMCAL developed the attached flyer for facilities to provide to staff who are hesitant to provide insurance information. We recommend posting it in the facility and providing copies to the staff so they understand the process.
