Hello athletes!

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday! In the meantime, we wanted to send out a few reminders and notes to keep in mind here in our 6th (!)  week of the open coaching season.

Social Distancing: at practice and outside of it

We understand that social distancing is hard after so many months, but as the weather gets colder and holidays approach, and the urge to gather into groups arises: we want to remind you to continue social distancing measures while you’re at practice and especially outside of practice. 

Your safety and ours is hugely important to us and if you’re experiencing any symptoms, this is your reminder to stay home from practice until you are feeling well again. 

Practice start time: 3:45p

As mentioned in our previous email, with the end of daylight savings time and the sun setting earlier: we will begin the warm-up runs at practice at 3:45p. 

As we’re still complying with Covid regulations concerning temperature & symptoms checks, you should arrive at Magnuson Park by at least 3:30p in order to be checked in and ready to start on time.

Wet weather & your gear

The wet weather is back! Because we’re meeting at Magnuson Park during this open coaching season, that means you don’t have lockers to store your gear during practice. And! We’re not used to having to deal with so much wet weather because our season’s usually done by now. (Oh 2020, will you ever stop being weird?)

Take some time today & tomorrow to weatherproof your gear a little bit if you plan to bring it to the field (for example if you ride your bike and/or don’t have access to a car during practice). 

One quick suggestion we have: you could put your name on a piece of duct tape and stick that to a plastic bag that you can close (with a knot or a twist-tie, etc.).
