Dear Church Family,
I would like to begin with two items of business. This upcoming Sunday, December 6 at 2 p.m. there will be a town hall meeting about our church's proposal to simplify our organizational structure to a "single board" model. I would also like to let you know that the Staff-Parish Relations Committee has graciously offered me extra time off for renewal, so I will be out of the office from December 7-12.
This past Sunday, our worship slides changed from green to purple and our service began with the lighting of the peace candle. We are now in the season of Advent, the four Sundays before Christmas that mark the beginning of the church year. Advent is a time when we anticipate the birth of Jesus. This year we are not able to gather in person, however, I hope that you can take time amidst the holiday busyness to prepare your heart for the coming of Christ. In this season of preparation, may you experience God's love, joy, and peace.

Cookie Lovers, young and old, can request cookie decorating kits by December 7, 2020. Each kit is good for one person. Pick up will be by drive through in the church parking lot on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 2-3 p.m.
In preparation, CCC needs to know how many kits to prepare. Contact Chuck Tengan: call 808-623-2437, text 808-722-6002, or email chuckxgan@yahoo.com with your name, number of kits, and contact information. Instructions will be included in the kit.
Join in the fun as we celebrate CHRISTMAS!
Join us for a Christmas Eve candlelight service of lessons and carols! Many of our youth are serving as liturgists and offering special musical selections. Please invite family, friends, and neighbors to join in the celebration. The more the merrier!
A big ALOHA to JAYLINA, our new Administrative Assistant! Jaylina has lived in Wahiawa her entire life and couldn't be more excited to be working here and within the community that raised her. She went to school to become a multi-media specialist, concentrating in photography and graphic design. In her free time, you'll likely find her buried behind a camera or a book somewhere outdoors. Jaylina hopes she'll get to meet you all eventually and looks forward to her time here with our church. She'll be in the office if you need her!
Thank you to our youth confirmation class and the Congregational Care Committee for preparing and delivering Thanksgiving baskets to our church kupuna over 90!
Through our partnership with St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, we are able to host Friday food distributions sponsored by the Pacific Justice and Reconciliation Center. Please spread the word to those who may be in need!
