A Service of Solidarity and Hope

Saturday, November 7, 2020
at 3:00PM

1135 State Park Road
(yes, you read that correctly, it's in-person!)
You are invited to gather at GUUF for a brief service at 3:00 on the patio/upper field. In this strange week of post-election limbo, we will gather to reconnect with one another and reaffirm our commitment to justice and love!

For everyone's safety, the following protocols will be strictly enforced:
  • All participants will maintain distance and wear masks while on the property.
  • Children are welcome! They must wear masks and stay with their family.
  • No singing, hugging or other close contact will be permitted.
  • The service will take place on the patio with amplification.
  • Seating will be marked with flags or chalk (one family group per flag) and participants should bring blankets or seats if they wish.
  • There will be no food or drinks and no bathroom or kitchen use.
  • To facilitate accessibility, the double doors on either side of the foyer will be open with a passageway from the upper parking lot to the patio. No other building access is permitted.
  • Participants should self-monitor for fever, cough, and other symptoms, staying home if they have any.

This service will NOT be livestreamed, but the Sunday service ("Liberating Laughter" with Rev. Lisa and Debbie Lessard) can be viewed on Facebook Sunday at 11:00AM

If you would like to volunteer the day of the event or have any questions, please contact the office or Rev. Lisa.
A NOTE ON RISK ASSESSMENT

At this time, GUUF remains in Phase 0 of the re-opening plan, and COVID cases continue to rise. The leadership has chosen to hold this special outdoor service because we believe that there is a significant emotional need for connection in the community in a stressful week during an already challenging time. We have put safety protocols in place to limit virus transmission as much as possible, but risk remains very real. Each family or individual will need to make your own risk assessment as you decide whether to attend. We are relying on all participants to work together to maintain distance, etc.
