What to Expect at the Fort Myers
Boat Show

Whether you’re shopping for your dream boat or just need a great excuse to get out of the house, the Fort Myers Boat Show is the place to go. The show runs November 12-15 and offers the largest display of boats, boating products, and services on our coast. The show features 600+ boats from 130+ manufacturers, plus accessory and equipment displays, so there’s a lot to see. Here’s some insider advice for making the most of this year’s show.

Monofilament Madness

November 7, 2020
This annual cleanup event is hosted by Keep Lee County Beautiful and is open to anyone with a boat, kayak, jet ski, or anything else that floats to help remove monofilament fishing line and other harmful debris from the mangroves on the bay side of Fort Myers Beach. Learn more.

Great Calusa Blueway Kayak Fishing Tournament

November 14, 2020
Paddle sport anglers will compete in a catch-photo-release tourney in the waters of The Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail. All proceeds benefit Candlelighters of Southwest Florida, which provides support and education to families of children with cancer or blood disorders. See full event details.

License-Free Saltwater Fishing

November 28, 2020
Florida Fish and Wildlife has another license-free saltwater fishing day coming up next month! If you have family visiting for Thanksgiving, this is a great opportunity to get them out on the water when the license requirement is waived. Learn more.
