Raylynmor Opera’s interpretation of Pagliacci centers the action in the time of COVID-19. The play within the opera is a take on the current obsession with livestreaming events! Ultimately, this production puts our consumption of online media into perspective and shines a modern and emotionally immediate spotlight on this operatic masterpiece from 1892.

Raylynmor Opera values the health and safety of our patrons so this familiar favorite is offered as a streaming event. Watch it at your leisure anytime in the next month!

Enjoy a Great Group Game!


Ongoing through Dec 12


Join this 8 week Blind Draw Cornhole League that meets Tuesdays! It began on October 27 so there are still plenty of opportunities to check it out. Bring your own bags if desired, Games2Go will have plenty on hand. Sign-in and warm ups at 5:45, the bags fly from 6-9 pm. Masks required, please wear it upon arrival. To keep the group manageable, players are capped at 60.

The Pandemic may have delayed the Monadnock International Film Festival - MONIFF - but it couldn't stop it! For 2020 MONIFF has pivoted to a virtual festival happening November 5-14, with limited in-person events that will follow social distancing guidelines.

With more than 50 films,  MONIFF will continue to offer a wide variety of film genre and give audiences the opportunity to interface with filmmakers and industry experts through post screening Q&A’s and lively panel discussions.

Daily Classes begin Nov 2

 

If the uncertainties of the Pandemic continue to stress you, your workloads leave you constantly tired,  or your mood is constantly in flux, Master Zhou of Daoist Gate is inviting you to a 30-minute meditation with him. 

The practice of 30-minute meditation a day with Master Zhou is one way to maintain a regular physical exercise schedule to establish healthy routines. Carve out time early in the morning or evening at work or at home. Just find a quiet room, bring a cushion, and open your heart and mind.

The goal of The Loom, Poetry in Harrisville is to interweave contemporary poets, their poetry and the local audience in vibrant relationship. Each poem spoken in public shuttles through our individual and collective consciousness, enriching the fabric that connects us, especially in Harrisville. At this viirtual gathering, Jennifer Militello and Chen Chen read from their newest collections.

Hone & Polish Your Skills!

The Peterborough Players may have had to close its theater temporarily, but the group isn't sitting around staring at empty seats! The group has another innovative program to offer you - PlayGroup - online, interactive theatrical workshops. All sessions are free, but registration is required. November 13 and 20, Players Artistic Director, MacDowell Fellow, Actor, and Playwright Gus Kaikkonen will host two Playgroup sessions on ShakespeareRegistration Deadline: Tuesday, 11/10

Join in the fun and support The Colonial Theatre’s Education and Outreach Program with an evening of dancing and interaction from your own living room!

You will be able to dance the evening away with music by Wade the Great Entertainment - song requests even accepted! The evening's activities will include an auction, a raffle and balloon roulette.  Clear your living room floor and get ready to boogie!

The Jaffrey Civic Center presents its annual Fall Art Exhibit. Local artists may apply by Nov 6 to show one or two pieces. Enjoy this opportunity to view local talent and perhaps pick up a piece as a holiday gift for someone special!  Check days and times.
