Louise Glück has been awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature “for her unmistakable
poetic voice that with austere beauty makes individual existence universal.” Glück is one of America’s most celebrated contemporary poets—she won a Pulitzer Prize in 1993 for her collection The Wild Iris and was named poet laureate of the United States in 2003. |
