#AWP21 is Virtual!
We are excited to announce that #AWP21 will be fully virtual this March. The AWP Conference & Bookfair has always been a place of connection, reunion, and celebration, and we hope to offer the same experience in a new way this year. |
Purchase Your #AWP21 Virtual Exhibit Space
Reach an even greater audience for your books, magazines, and other services and products at the #AWP21 Bookfair, North America’s largest literary marketplace! We are excited to offer exhibitors the opportunity to exhibit virtually! A $350 virtual exhibit space includes two registrations, the ability to brand and customize your virtual space, a video conferencing room to meet with your visitors, and many more tools to engage with your community and promote your products and services. Meet Our Season 13 Mentees and Their Mentors
Congratulations to all our Season 13 Writer to Writer pairs on their matches! Members can learn more about them on our mentor and mentee pages. If you want to learn more about the program, you may want to check out our Program Reflections, to which we will soon be adding more great pieces from former participants, and our Writer to Writer Mentorship Program Overview, where you can find out about applying as either a mentor or mentee. Mentor applications are accepted all year long, and Season 14 mentee applications will be accepted January 1-12 in the new year. |

All registered #AWP21 attendees have the opportunity to purchase an author table in the Virtual Bookfair! A $50 author table includes one-day access to your own customizable virtual meeting room, where you can talk with your readers, post links, content, or videos to drive traffic to your website, receive book placement on AWP’s Bookshop.org affiliate page, and more. This opportunity is for individuals only and not for presses, journals, magazines, institutions, or organizations. For more information, please visit the Bookfair Overview page of the AWP website. |
Writer’s News

poetic voice that with austere beauty makes individual existence universal.” Glück is one of America’s most celebrated contemporary poets—she won a Pulitzer Prize in 1993 for her collection The Wild Iris and was named poet laureate of the United States in 2003. |

AWP asked: If you could live anywhere in the world for a year while writing a book that takes place in that same setting, where would you live?
Some of the answers we received:

hokansonh: In my home.
staci_of_all_trades: Ethiopia or Vietnam
vinitaagrawal18: Bhutan.
s_mulladvm: Ireland
Benjamin Thiel: Antarctica
Nancy Ronquist: Adirondacks
Wayne Cook: Colorado Rockies
Claire Lawrie: Shetland.
Carol Kubota: On the coast in Spain
Debbie Whittemore: Hawaii
Denise Bike: the Grand Canyon
Bryan J. Smith: Wisconsin, USA

@jennaglov: Portugal. One of my biggest regrets is not asking my grandma about where/how she lived, and I'd like to see it for myself. Also, I've read some Portuguese fairy tales that are really great, and I'd like to try my hand at that style.
@AudreyTCarroll: County Cork, Ireland
@sprestonduncan: Of the places I've been, Jerusalem. Of the places I haven't... probably Tibet.
