The Maine Climate Council has released a number of draft reports on its website here. The Public Input Survey Summary report presents a summary of the public input surveys conducted over the summer. More than 4,400 individuals provided input through feedback surveys on the website, climatecouncil.maine.gov. Members of the public were invited to learn about the impacts of climate change on the State, read the strategies recommended by the working groups, and provide feedback through a series of short surveys. Numerous organizations helped amplify the message, and staff conducted more than twenty outreach presentations this summer. Residents from more than half of Maine communities submitted comments. The public input survey effort built on the stakeholder engagement conducted as part of working group process to develop the draft recommendations, which was conducted via public meetings, calls, surveys, and individual and organizational input.
