Nursery Newsletter Autumn 2020

Hello, I must apologise that this seems to be the first Newsletter I have found time to put together this year.

I am very pleased to be able to say that this is because we have been so busy on the nursery.  Our mail order service has seen a huge increase in business that has kept us packing boxes non-stop all season.

Thank You to all our customers.

We really appreciate all the business that has helped keep the nursery going this year despite reduced visitor numbers and cancelled events. Thank you.

We worked hard to ensure that even at our busiest in April and May we managed to send almost all orders within 10 days. Our biggest problem was constantly running out of boxes and newspapers for packing!

It was really good to hear back from customers about their orders and seeing photos of the plants in their new homes - we hope we helped you enjoy your garden through this year.

With all best wishes,
Tim Fuller

Christmas
GB Last Order Date

For customers in England, Scotland and Wales orders for plants to be delivered before Christmas need to be placed by Midnight on Sunday 13th December 2020.

Orders for Gift Vouchers will continue to be processed right up to Christmas Eve (and throughout the holiday period where I can) but please order as early as you can.  Please note that I manually authorise and issue Gift Vouchers so ordering at 1am on Christmas Day won't work!

Weather permitting, despatch will resume Monday 11th January 2021.

Northern Ireland
Brexit Last Order Date

For customers in Northern Ireland I regret to say that we currently do not expect to be able to continue sending plants to you in the future.  This is due to prohibitively expensive Plant Health regulations that will come in at the end of the Brexit transition period.  Because of this our last orders to Northern Ireland will need to be placed by Midnight on Sunday 29th November 2020 to allow a little extra time in case of congested delivery services.

Thank you for all your previous custom - we hope that this will be resolved so that we can send plants to you again in the future.

Symphyotrichum ericoides 'Pink Cloud'

Chrysanthemum 'Edelweiss'

Brexit Last orders to
EEA and EU countries

To ensure that we can get plants delivered well before the holiday season please ensure you place your orders by Midnight on Sunday 15th November 2020.

At the moment I expect that this will be the last opportunity to send plants to our many customers across Europe for some considerable time as the costs and barriers to trade that the UK Government are implementing will make it prohibitively expensive to continue exporting.

Thank you to all our European customers for your previous custom.  I do very much hope that this will be resolved somehow in the future.

Brexit Last orders to
Channel Islands & Isle of Man

Please follow the same date as above, Midnight on Sunday 15th November 2020.

At present we have had no guidance on how the implementation of Brexit will affect shipments to the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.  For now I have to assume that we will be unable to continue sending to these islands as well.  I hope that this is resolved in the future and we can resume sending to you.
