The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the global supply chains. The pressure for medicines, protective equipment, therapeutics, and products to combat both COVID-19 and existing illness and disease will only increase as the pandemic continues and the need for an equitable, inclusive, and efficient distribution of all of these for COVID-19 and other diseases needs to be ensured.
PQMD, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF), is hosting a webinar on October 29, 2020 at 10AM where leaders in the fields of healthcare, supply chain and humanitarian services can discuss the current distribution landscape for life-saving medicines, vaccines, and other essential goods in the face of this global pandemic. They will discuss some examples of innovative mobility solutions and discuss novel technologies that can be used to solve for supply system challenges and generate true community value.

Conor French, General Counsel, Zipline
Conor leads legal, regulatory, and public affairs for Zipline, a California-based robotics and logistics company which manufactures, and operates an unmanned aircraft system that makes reliable, on-demand deliveries of blood, vaccines, and medicines to patients and doctors within minutes in Ghana, Rwanda and the United States.
Conor has been active in a number of social enterprises throughout his career. He is a 2018 Presidential Leadership Scholar, a Truman National Security Fellow and has been recognized as a 2020 Crisis Leadership Trailblazer, the Bay Area’s top corporate counsel, and on the US General Counsel Powerlist. He received his JD from NYU Law and his BA from Georgetown. Conor is admitted to the CA, DC, MA and NY bars.
Craig Kennedy, Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain Management, Merck
Craigs heads Transformation and Supply Chain Management for Merck. Craig has a proven track record of driving change and operations improvement at MSD and is responsible for transformational efforts focused on Plant to Patient integrating financial planning, Digital strategy, Enterprise Resiliency Modernization, and Enterprise Risk Management. Since joining Merck in 1996, Craig’s experience has broadly encompassed regional operations management, plant management and direct manufacturing operations, change management functions, SAP implementation, supply chain and inventory management, capacity management and materials management. Before coming to Merck, Craig worked for Professional Systems Development as a project manager and consultant specializing in computer systems and operations improvement supporting companies located in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, Western and Eastern Europe and the U.S. Craig graduated from the University of Sydney, Australia with a degree in computer science and pure mathematics.
Larry St. Onge, President, Life Sciences & Healthcare, DHL
As a member of Customer Solutions & Innovation Global Senior Management Team, Larry leads the DHL Life Sciences & Healthcare Global Senior Management Team. He is responsible for driving the growth and development of life sciences and healthcare business on a global scale and leads sector strategy along with commercial and solution development.
He was appointed to his current role in 2018, and during his 17 years at DHL, he has held several leadership positions across several sectors, developing innovative customer solutions and working to expand DHL’s capabilities around the globe.
Prior to DHL, Larry was Vice President, Corporate Accounts at Airborne Freight. He joined Airborne in 1989 and held a variety of leadership roles in that organization before joining DHL in 2003.
He was born in Atlanta and attended university at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point New York, where he majored in international relations. He resides in the U.S. with his wife and three children.
Susanne Somerville, CEO, Chronicled
Susanne is CEO Chronicled, focusing on establishing networks powered by blockchain to automate the way companies do business together. She is one of the founders of the MediLedger Network, established for the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences industry, with solutions already available to enable prescription medicine verification, and automation of revenue management processes. She brings over 25 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, and supply chain experience. Susanne was most recently the Vice President of Supply Chain, North America, for Genentech, member of the Roche Group.
Rob Townley, Head of Special Project Logistics, Maersk
Rob Townley is the Head of Special Project Logistics for Maersk, covering complex and high-risk logistics, supply chain and transport operations on all seven continents. Rob's background is a cross-section of the humanitarian assistance, developmental aid, national intelligence and military special operations communities in the U.S. government, where he spent the majority of his career. His federal service includes tours with all three major US national intelligence agencies and numerous overseas combat assignments in Sub-Saharan and East Africa, Southwest Asia, the Near East and Eastern Europe. After leaving the US Marine Corps mid-career, he managed advanced research & development projects for the US Department of Defense, built and resupplied hospitals in conflict zones across Africa as the COO of a medical non-profit, returned to government briefly to manage US Special Operations Command's Africa desk in Washington DC, and led conservation enforcement efforts across Africa in the fight against the illegal wildlife trade. Prior to accepting his current position at Maersk, he was the Senior Director for African Affairs on the US National Security Council.

Margi leads the Supply Chain and Transport initiatives at the World Economic Forum and is a member of the Mobility Platform.
The work of the Mobility Platform focuses efforts on accelerating the global transition to safer, cleaner and more inclusive transportation systems, ensuring equitable access to mobility for society, and sustainable delivery of goods to urban and rural communities.
Margi has previously worked in the express, supply chain, shipping and retail sectors for multinational organisations, and most recently in healthcare - specifically in the medical defence services arena.
Margi has worked across Europe, Africa, Asia and in the United States, serving both private and public-sector clients, and holds an MBA in International Business from the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
