DEPARTMENT EVENTS & INFO
November 9th Virtual Gathering

Just about all of the responses to our survey asked for more virtual gatherings, and we agree. So we’re planning to hold a series of conversations throughout the year, hoping they’ll serve as spaces for sharing and support.

The first will be Monday, November 9th from 5:00-6:00pm. The focus might well end up on the election and processing the outcome, or lack of outcome. If that's what we need, that's what we'll do.

We’re hoping, though, that we can focus the meeting on everyone’s experiences as educators in this suddenly virtual world. There are many challenges it presents, of building community, equitable access to learning, student agency, mental health, and more. We expect you all have stories about particular situations, and they will help ground the discussion.

The Zoom registration information is below. Please note: We encourage you to participate, and we hope to see you, but it is not a requirement.
