Caffeine Lounge - SEN friendly sessions


A safe and enjoyable space that’s open to everyone. The SEN sessions will be inclusive to all, a place to have fun, socialise and gain independence. With everyone to be able to enjoy gaming the way we do. The sessions will be adapted to those with additional needs to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy their time here.

Football Fun Factory


The Football Fun Factory is coming to Stowmarket! The sessions kick off with 3 weeks of free football at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre in November for children and 5-12.

The weekly programme offers a combination of technical training, fun games and matches, in a relaxed and pressure free environment.

The first session takes place on Tuesday 3rd November, 5-6pm.

Leading Lives Night Hubs are back!


To keep our customers safe , numbers are being more tightly managed than before and our young people will need to register and book in for each session so we know exactly who will be attending. We will manage a waiting list if numbers exceed our maximum capacity. 
 
We look forward to welcoming our Young People Back.

Kooth - free, safe and anonymous

What is Kooth?

Kooth is a free, safe and anonymous online chat and emotional wellbeing service for young people aged 11 to 25, across Suffolk.

Kooth is here for you when you need someone to talk to.

If you are going through a hard time and you are not sure who to speak to, login to Kooth.

You will find friendly councillors who can help you talk through your problems and help you with anything that's on your mind.

This could be about bullying, relationships, work life difficulties, money worries, problems at home, coping with stress, anxiety or grief from losing someone.

Who can use Kooth?

  • Young people 11-25 years old
  • Young people who live anywhere in Suffolk

Suffolk Advice and Support Service (SASS)


The service provides free professional advice in confidence on a range of issues including:
  • mortgage or credit cards
  • rent arrears or other debts
  • COVID-19 related concerns and what it means for you and/or your family
  • access to food
  • one off grants for things such as:
    • white goods
    • fuel vouchers
    • other unforeseen expenses

Activities Unlimited Short Break Provider Service Grants


We are now inviting new applications for the funding of Short Break and Young Carers/Siblings activities for the 2021/22 financial year.

The grants application form and guidance have been reviewed and amended, so please ensure you read the guidance notes carefully before completing the application form. These guidance notes refer specifically to the Short Break application form but can be applied also to Young Carers and Siblings application form.

To allow sufficient time to fully consider all applications we have set a submission deadline midnight of Friday 6th November 2020. This will enable the panel to consider the merits of each application in accordance with the directorate’s commissioning intentions, and the needs and wishes of the families this funding will support. Applications received after midnight of Friday 6th November 2020 will not be considered.
