Newsletter Nineteenth Edition Wednesday, October 21, 2020
The Election EveningWatch Party is cancelled. The board decided that proper social distancing would be hard to control and did not want to be the cause of a covid outbreak. Secondly, those who would have hosted the event now have election day duties that run up to and past 7:30pm.
However, we will have regular Tuesday hours with Lawrence McNabb, Nancy Helms, and Susan Landis (three of our CCDP board members) who plan to be there throughout the day.
Headquarters will be open the day after the election which is the last day we'll have a headquarters. Jane Carver and I will be there so come by and celebrate with us!

VOTING
By the time you get this newsletter, there will be only three days of Early Voting left before the big day. I'm guessing you know the turn out so far has been huge. I'm taking that as a positive sign.
Signs
We had four volunteers along with Nancy to put signs out on the highway and at the polls. This has been a difficult year getting the signs here. In addition, folks have had their signs stolen and then stolen again. We even had the large 4ft X 8ft sign stolen!
There are a few Biden signs left and several late coming signs. So if you have room for a couple more, come and get them. Any ad for a Democrat is a good thing.
Get some bling while you can. Still have some bumperstickers, pins and flyers. Pick up an "I Voted" pin to flaunt the next few days.

Last thing I heard about how the election is going was today on NPR around 4:15pm when the commentator said to her guest (and I remember no names as I can't take notes and drive), "It seems Biden has a solid lead and has maintained it. It isn't wavering and yet, the Democrats I talk to are still anxious about the outcome." I think she summed it up nicely. We remember 2016! So that's where we stand at this point. I remain ever optimistic, so see you next week as we celebrate!
