Daily Life of Laotian People
The four people in this part of the mural represent some of the daily activities of Laotian people. On the right, the musician plays a bamboo mouth organ called a “khene”. Khene musicians use circular breathing which produces a continuous tone without interruption. The people of Laos are also famous for their textiles and weaving. The three other people are spinning cotton into thread.
