It's no secret.

Arm injuries are at an all time high in today's' game.

Just look at the statistics documented on page 138 of Old School vs New School:

“... arm injuries have increased over 250% in the past 10 years during a time where player participation in Baseball has dropped 27%. UCL injuries have risen to what some would call epidemic proportions at 193% over a 10-year period. These numbers come from research articles written by Dr. Justin Hodgins and Dr. Christopher Ahmad, MD’s from Columbia University, and their fellow colleagues regarding the statistics around arm injuries. I think it’s fair to say that what the game is doing isn’t working."

Would you agree?

My team and I have studied this arm injury epidemic very closely over the past 10 years and have found that a thrower's movement efficiency is crucial in combating this epidemic.

You must pay very close attention to the 'unwinding' of the arm…

"The arm does not work like a catapult, it works like a whip, and this whipping action is what makes arms look clean, easy, and free. This allows them to maximize the efficiency of their rotation and capture energy through the chain more effectively.” -page 148 of Old School vs New School

In fact, when we work with a pitcher struggling with arm pain, as well as velocity and lack of control, we start with one simple fix to attack movement inefficiencies that cure almost every one of these cases.

To find out the one simple fix to address arm pain & injury while also allowing the arm to produce more 'whip', grab a copy of Old School vs. New School.

Simply put, if you are looking to stay on the cutting edge of player development and the information curve storming the game of baseball, this book is a MUST read.

All the best,
