Lumka Madola (@Siyindalo Environmental Services)
Lumka Madolo attained a National Diploma and B.Tech in Environmental Management and is currently completing an M. Tech in Environmental Management, with the research focus on riparian restoration and study area in the Sonderend River, WC. She has years of experience in rivers and wetlands restoration work, GIS mapping, alien plant management, etc. After working years at WWF-SA, freshwater programme, she then starts her business. Lumka is currently a founder & Director of Siyindalo Environmental Services and Freshwater Restoration Ecologist by Profession. She is involved in restoration projects of freshwater resources in the Sonderend River System. In October 2019, Lumka was awarded a Young Professional National Wetland Award, an award that recognises the future of the wetland field of practice in South Africa for young wetland scientists.
Luyanda Mthethwa (@Anglo American)
Luyanda Mthethwa, currently an environmentalist at a mining house, is thoroughly passionate about environmental sustainability. She holds a degree in Geology and environmental sciences, and an honours degree in Environmental management. She thoroughly believes that development that supports both a thriving community and an environment is possible. She is currently piloting a zero waste to landfill project at her operation, in which they aim to achieve zero disposal by 2022. In her free time, Luyanda loves volunteering, visiting new restaurants and hiking.

Rea is a fun bubbly young lady. She studied a BSc Life and Environmental Science from the University of Johannesburg and graduated in 2014. She realized that she wanted to dedicate her life to protecting our planet when she was Grade 8 and started an environmental club for her school with some of her friends. Her career started as a climate change activist when she as 20 years old and she has come a long way since then. She has over 6 years of experience in the environmental sector and spends her free time reading and volunteering.
