Michael Connor to Deliver 2020
Albert E. Utton Memorial Water Lecture
For our 2020 Albert E. Utton Memorial Water Lecture, we are pleased to welcome Mike Connor. Currently, Mike is a partner at the law firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, LLP. His practice focuses on strategic advice and legal services to clients in matters involving water resources, public lands, energy development, environmental compliance, and Native American law. Previously, he held several leadership positions at the federal level, including Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior from 2014 until 2017, and Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation from 2009 to 2014, where he led efforts to address challenges associated with water supply and hydropower generation in the West.
Connor received his J.D. from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from New Mexico State University. A native of New Mexico, he is an enrolled member of the Taos Pueblo. Connor will deliver his lecture today at 11:00 am MT. You can view the entire conference program here.
