The Lake Nokomis Community School (LNCS) PTA is setting up a pop-up spirit wear sale this Saturday, October 31 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Shoreview Triangle on 54th Street. Also happening, the Shoreview Triangle Halloween Celebration (social distancing and mask-wearing will be observed) from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. There will be a costume parade at 3:30 p.m. and some kid-friendly Halloween fun and music.

Calling All Block Club Leaders!

NENA is supporting a new resident-led initiative: Nokomis East Neighbor-to-Neighbor Communication Project. Block Club leaders are invited to be a part of this project! Link to the Full Document. The project will assess the level of neighbor-to-neighbor communication preparedness in Nokomis East and will implement three communication strategies.

Strategy 1 - Establish a temporary online communication tool (A Slack Workplace) run by trained neighborhood volunteers for times requiring fast neighbor-to-neighbor communication;

Strategy 2 - NENA to establish a temporary communication network with Block Club Leaders to share information during times requiring fast neighbor-to-neighbor communication; and

Strategy 3 - Support and promote established social media channels for neighbor-to-neighbor communication (i.e. - Nokomis East Information Sharing Facebook Group and NextDoor).

About 25 Neighborhood Volunteers (Block Club Leaders Invited!) are Needed as Online Administrators (Training and support provided, minimum computer skills required, only activated during times of city curfews).

Neighborhood News - The Tipsy Steer Coming to Nokomis East at 50th & Hiawatha!

Local, Sassy, Brew Food
The Tipsy Steer is a locally owned and managed kitchen, serving the great patrons of Invictus Brewing Co. It all begins with our chef-inspired menu showcasing locally sourced beef, dairy, produce and hormone free natural chicken. Our brick oven pizza and fresh hand-pattied burgers will no doubt be the stars of the menu. We will also feature a great selection of small plates, appetizers, salads, and street style tacos. Whether you pair a great Invictus brew with a Tipsy Steer appetizer or perhaps a Tipsy Steer hand-crafted shake with one of our mouth-watering burgers, Tipsy Steer and Invictus Brewing have you covered.
