Dear <<First Name>>,

Temperatures are dropping, days are shorter and trails from coast to coast to coast are slowly being covered by colorful autumn leaves. However, Canadians across the country were still motivated to get outside and participate in our first Great Canadian Hike Challenge.

We are thrilled to announce that together, we went the whole distance and completed the length of The Great Trail of Canada during the Great Canadian Hike, which took place in October. Congratulations! Read more about the total distance we covered, and take a look at some amazing photos from our challenge.

This month also brought us an incredible story from our partners at the Institute for Canadian Citizenship. New Canadian citizen Amjad Baig shares stories of his cross-Canada adventure with his family using the Canoo mobile app. Download it –  who knows, you might just end up on an adventure yourself.

Finally, the global pandemic has forced many Canadians to cancel holiday or vacation plans; well, Lauran, Steph, Annie and Claire succeeded in completing the best backup plan earlier in the year. A cross-province bicycle journey across British Columbia. Also, our friends at Toque & Canoe remind us that the Trail is open and safe to use during the COVID-19 pandemic and highlight five reasons to get on the Trail.

As always, we are grateful to everyone who’s been sharing their stories about how they’ve used the Trail in the past few months. It’s been wonderful to learn that so many of you have been enjoying nature safely, and discovering new hobbies along the way. So, keep those stories coming!
