We Remember: All Saints Day 2020
Join us for a special All Saints Sunday morning service, November 1, by clicking the "Online Services" link above. A slide show of West Sider's loved ones will be shown, and those we love will be commemorated with bells, an All Saints litany, and a special sermon.

We remember with love those who have passed into the arms of our Lord since last All Saints Day:

Comforted by our faith that God’s mercy grants us rest and peace when our work on earth is done, we pause to remember and celebrate the lives of those who have passed on since November 2019.
We also remember the unnamed ones who died this past year who are cherished in our hearts.
Along with all our loved ones and friends who have died over the years, we remember those who have died anonymously, alone, and with no one to mourn their passing.
Giving a Legacy of Love
What does extended ministry outreach at West Side and an improved sanctuary heating and cooling system have in common? The answer is that both have been made possible by generous donors.

Many West Siders give generously from IRAs or other retirement savings plans, which blesses the church and eliminates the need for the donor to pay income tax on the donated money. Others have designated funds for the church to be gifted after their death.

A gift to the church serves as a testament to our faith in God and the resurrection. It provides us with an opportunity to exemplify what it means to be a good steward, providing for others as God has provided for us during our lifetime. What a blessing to future generations!

Wanted: Memories, Traditions, and Christmas Greetings!
Let's create something special! This Advent season will not look like normal, by a long shot, but we would like to add joy to the season through a special West Side keepsake newsletter.

The winter West Side Times can be filled with the following:

Greeting cards: Continue the annual tradition of sending a church Christmas card and check for a special church project. Cards will be photographed and included in the newsletter (or West Side Weekly newsletters, if they arrive after November 23).

Photos: Take a picture of a special ornament, Nativity set, or other special item and write why it is special to you. Or send a photo of your family with a greeting for West Siders. Or send a photo of a delicious holiday dish you make, along with a recipe...or just send a photo of the recipe! Be creative!

Stories: Have you lived through a time in history that helps you have perspective in 2020? Do you have a funny or heartwarming Christmas story that taught you a lesson? If you visit with some of our older members, consider asking them if you can write down and submit one of their memories or messages.

To allow for production time, the
deadline for submissions is tight: Monday, November 23. Thank you for putting your thinking cap on and being part of something special!
