From March to May of 2020, the Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute conducted and published the results of a series of flash polls designed to better understand and respond to the impacts of Covid-19 on the fine cacao and chocolate community. We have now relaunched these surveys with adapted questions in order to monitor how the situation is evolving globally. Both those who completed and did not complete the surveys during the first round are encouraged to complete this current survey. The information collected will be used to help guide responses from stakeholders throughout the cacao and chocolate value chain.

We seek one (1) completed survey per organization. If there is another person at your organization who is better suited to respond to these questions, please forward this survey link to them.  

We encourage responses to the survey by Tuesday, 17 November, at 5 PM EST.

All individual answers will be kept confidential. Response data will be shared in the aggregate.


We anticipate that it will take 10 minutes for you to complete the survey. Your responses are very important to understanding the impact of Covid-19 on the fine cacao and chocolate community. Thank you in advance for your participation.

This survey is designed and funded by the Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute with peer-review from a team of academic researchers from Harvard University, Illinois State University, and Stanford University. The survey was also discussed in coordination with partner organizations Comité del Cacao de Centroamérica y Republica Dominicana (SICACAO), the Fine Chocolate Industry Association (FCIA), the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), and several private cacao and chocolate companies.
