1. Masks with Meaning distribution
Today, we were joined by the Knysna Municipality’s Executive Mayor, Cllr Ricky van Aswegen, Councillors Mncedisi Skosana and Thando Matika, with Acting LED Manager, Fumanekile Makuyekwe, in the continuing distribution of the Masks with Meaning, a project undertaken to support health and safety in the community. The masks are manufactured by previously unemployed locals who have now been trained as seamstresses. The brightly coloured, re-usable masks are printed bearing messages, “protect yourself”, “protect your family”, “protect your friends”, “protect your community” and “protect your town”. They have been distributed in areas of need, including taxi operators, White Location, Concordia, Karatara and Smutsville and more. Let us continue to work together to slow the spread of the virus. 4. Visitor Statistics
Already prior to the Coronavirus pandemic, more and more tourist travel research is being done online; thus meaning we have (had) fewer visitors into the information centres. This is part of the reason why we are developing a mobile-first, content detailed website to assist and facilitate in answering inquiries being researched. The data from this will feed into our statistics. However, we need to expand on our actual local statistics and have developed a questionnaire for our activities that we will share monthly: please assist us by completing these. We will also further engage with the Knysna Accommodation Association and hoteliers for statics to guide our marketing audiences. We look forward to working with you in developing more accurate visitor statistics for our destination.

5. EdenFM Summer Activation & Advertising Opportunity
During December, EdenFM will be broadcasting from various towns in the Garden Route. On 8th December they will broadcast from outside the Visit Knysna information office. They have requested that we share the following advertising opportunities with you.
