“But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” (Matthew 26:29, NKJV)

The Wait is Almost Over

By Pastor Jared Miller

This Sabbath is our first attempt to have communion since the pandemic hit.  It will be a little different than usual since the footwashing will not be done on site.  However, we are encouraging you to still follow Jesus’ example in washing each other’s feet within the context of your home (dorm) either tonight or Sabbath morning before Sabbath School and Church.  Make it special.
The last time we partook of the Lord’s Supper was over eight months ago during the Agape Feast for Friday night vespers on February 14.  At that time, we had no idea the pandemic would shut down our in-person church services for three months, and cause us to miss our regularly scheduled communion Sabbaths.
The wait is almost over.  But our wait has been relatively short compared to the time Jesus has been waiting.  He has been waiting for about 2000 years.  All indicators in Bible prophecy and in our world today indicate that the long wait is almost over.  Jesus is coming soon!  One day in the not-so-distant future, we will get to drink the purest fruit of the vine with Jesus.  Because of His shed blood, we can look forward to partaking of that in His Father’s kingdom.  The wait is almost over.

Dear Church Family,

Jesus invites us to commune with Him through the Lord's Supper.  For COVID safety, we will be preparing for the Communion service by washing each other's feet at home beforehand.  Make this a special time together and let's prepare our hearts to receive the Communion blessing during the church service!
