Communion with prayers for Wholeness and Healing.  If you would like a name included, please pass to a member of the ministry team.
With NO Remembrance Service on Goldington Green this year, we are joining the campaign to put a Poppy in your window to show our support.
This echoes the 'put a rainbow in your window' for the NHS.  Red card and black poppy centres are available in church for you to cut out your poppy or you can make your own.

Royal Britsih Legion Poppies can be purchased in church.

Congratulations Judith and  Brian Greaves

Although Corona restrictions have stopped a big party this year they wanted to share with their church family their joy of celebrating 63 years of married life together.  Well done Judy and Brian from us all.

December Parish and People

Please send any articles to parish&people@gmail.com by 3 November to be included in the December issue.

Test and Trace

To support the NHS Test and Trace and help protect each other, we are recording attendance at our services.
If you are self-isolating please do not attend church services.

Sunday School Teacher

Would you be interested in running or helping to run a Sunday School during the morning service at St. Mary's?  If so please get in touch with the Vicar for more details and a job Specification.

Our grateful thanks

go to Helen Green and Frances Tyler, who for many years have served the congregation of St. Mary's in a variety of ways and most recently as Servers and Eucharistic assistants.  They feel now is the time to retire and so we wish them all the best in their 'retirement'.

Prayer at the heart of our church life

Please pray this week for
continued healing for little Reggie.
The social services
All who work in the criminal justice system
Victims and perpetrators of crime
The work of aid agencies throughout the world
Those living in poverty or under oppression

Prayer for today

God of holiness,
your glory is proclaimed in every age:
as we rejoice in the faith of your saints,
inspire us to follow their example
with boldness and joy;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen

COVID-19

Hands - Face - Space
As part of our strategy to keep the church Covid-secure we are ensuring that the church is ventilated as much as possible.  With the colder weather we are putting the heating on and closing the doors, but will open the windows during the service.
Please ensure when entering or leaving the church you maintain a safe social distance of 2m.

Sunday Worship instructions 9:30am

So that we can all worship safely protecting ourselves and others please follow all instructions given.
This will be strange and very hard for many, but please do follow these instructions to maintain social distancing.

Here are some general instructions:-
  • Please wear a face mask or covering.
  • Please clean hands with gel on entering the church.
  • Please sit in the pews as indicated and DO NOT wander around church.
  • Please listen to the music being played as an aid to prayer.
  • Service sheets will be found on pews/seats for your use.
  • During the peace we do not wander around the church or shake hands.
  • During some services, we will be offering communion.
  • You do not have to receive communion if you do not wish to. Please indicate your wish by lifting your hands to receive.
  • Communion will be brought to you sitting in the pews to reduce movement.
  • At the end of the service please leave the church directly.
  • You can talk with people outside the building.
  • The toilet is available but please follow cleaning instructions after use.
  • Refreshments, sadly, will not be served after the service at this time.
  • Do please socialise before or after the service BUT outside the building.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
If you have any questions please ask.
