Dear Members and Friends of the Garden,

In a few days, you will receive the Garden’s Adapting to a Changing Landscape brochure in the mail, highlighting the valuable resource the North Carolina Botanical Garden provides to visitors, volunteers, and students – which is even more important as other gardens and public places remain closed due to the pandemic.

Although we are experiencing soaring visitation and increased participation in our virtual lectures, we are faced with the new reality that the "new normal" has cut several important funding streams. We are unable to rent our facilities to large groups, the Davis Garden Shop is closed, the number of students in our classes is restricted, and we have had to cancel or adapt our in-person signature events through the end of 2020. This will leave our budget with a shortfall. Now, more than ever, we rely on you, our members and our friends, to sustain the Garden.

Please consider the Garden in your giving plans this year and into the future. You may respond with a gift in the reply envelope in the mailed brochure, or make a gift online at the link below.

Thank you for your generous support.

With hope and gratitude,

Damon Waitt, PhD

To keep our staff safe during this time, we are limiting the number of days employees are present in the office to collect mailed gifts. This is resulting in longer than usual processing times. Making your gift online allows us to limit possible exposure to our staff and ensures that your gift is processed right away. Call our membership coordinator with questions at 919-962-0642.
