Crossing 18 time zones from Alice Springs, Australia to California, USA, covering six continents and 33 days, with participants of all ages, Iris Global history was made as we just completed our first ever Virtual Family Gathering!

The vision for our Family Gatherings includes bringing our family together for encouragement, equipping, sharing vision, worship, and fun! Typically, we do this in person with workshops, worship, testimony time, and a family fun day with serious competition! But, when it became obvious we would not be able to meet together in person this year, we brainstormed how we could still accomplish this in a creative way. Thanks to technology and creative problem solving, the Virtual Family Gathering was born!

The gathering kicked off on September 14 with the first of 12 workshops designed to support and equip our leaders and missionaries' ongoing life of service and love, providing the practical and inspirational.

A significant part of the Gathering was the first ever Iris Family Games. Locations were given two challenges a week aimed at fostering team connection and a lot of fun. Our teams jumped in whole-heartedly and participated with the kind of creativity, enthusiasm, and winning spirit you can only find it a group of people completely sold out to Jesus. It made for some good entertainment and friendly rivalries between teams.

Our month together ended when locations from all over the globe came together as a family to worship at the feet of Jesus for four days. What a powerful way to move forward as a family into all the riches of glorious inheritance in Christ Jesus! As our hearts were filled with adoration for our King, we received the wisdom of the Word through several of our anointed leaders. They brought the Word with boldness, kindness, and fruitfulness.

Scattered all across the globe and all across the time zones, we came together to enjoy one another, to worship God, and to be encouraged to press on to win the race to which He has called us!
