Even though we created MyMeander a few years ago, having this app has became more significant and meaningful to me since my dad passed away in early September. The impact he had on my life has become even more evident, and I find I want to gather and share the details of his life.
I am now collecting photos, videos and his unfinished memoirs to start capturing the significant moments and stories in MyMeander that reflect who he was, both for me and his grandchildren. And I will be sharing some of these with his friends to get their stories and comments about him and add them to Memories as contributions.
I found this article by Bill Gates which shares his tribute to his father who passed away a week after my father did, and I am sharing it here as much of what he writes reflects the same level of influence and significance of his father in his life as my dad in mine.

Unicorns and fairies - Fantasy and fairy tales were a big part of my early childhood, from Enid Blyton’s ‘The Enchanted Wood’ to Tolkien’s ‘The Hobbit’. Which books did you enjoy most as a child, and do you still have any of them?
Vacations - Where did you go for your last ‘big’ vacation – somewhere overseas? While our options for travel are very limited now we can still enjoy the memories of trips taken, and share the best moments in MyMeander.
