Patrol Update
MEETING: Thursday 19 November 6pm, down stairs at the club. This is for all Patrol Captains and Silver Medallion Beach holders. Helena has done up a whiteboard to assist with all patrols, a demo of its use will be given. This will be stored upstairs and can be used as a visual display during the patrol briefing PRIOR to the start of each patrol.

Ski Paddling Clinic
Thursday 3 – Saturday 5 December
ASLSC with the generous support of Hazbeanz and contributing partner Avis, are excited to offer a unique coaching opportunity to club ski paddlers. State / National Coach, Olympic Coach (2016) & Olympic Finalist (2012) Jesse Phillips will be conducting a free clinic for members at Albany SLSC.

Rainbow Coast Carnival Bremer Bay - 28-29 November
Nippers + Youth + Seniors = There is still time to register to the most fun carnival of the season!
The Rainbow Coast Carnival in Bremer Bay is our annual all-ages carnival against Denmark SLSC and Esperance SLSC. This year it is being organised by Esperance SLSC. Our clubs compete against each other for points to determine the winning club. It is a fantastic family-friendly event and while you do need to register by this Sunday, there is no cost to enter and it is open to all registered members.

Member Protection Information
Each member over the age of 18 years MUST have a valid Working With Children Card. This was part of the new SLSWA legislation beginning 2018-19, for the benefit and protection of all minors. This policy does not apply to members who are parents of an under 18 unless in a capacity where as requiring a Working With Children (WWC), i.e. Age Group Managers / Assistants or partaking in overnight camps.

Nipper Rescue Certificate Training
Nipper Rescue Certificate (NRC) – for parents/guardians who wish to become involved in their children’s program. We strongly recommend that all parents undertake this course as the club has to fulfil certain ratios to comply with safety requirements. Any one that did the course last season has to requalify again for this season.

Wanted: Christmas Pageant Volunteers
The City of Albany are currently calling out for float registrations and we are putting the call of for 2-3 parents to coordinate the Albany SLS pageant float for 2020.
We currently have no capacity to deliver this for nippers as we simply have not had volunteers keen to help out with events… so we are super keen to hear from you if this sounds like the perfect way to get involved!
