Hey Family,

I hope this email finds you well and peaceful in the face of a world going crazy. I know my emotions have been all over the place and I've been hanging onto James 1:2-5

"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have [its] perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

I remember that it's God's plan to make us look like Jesus and the trials of life can be spectacular tools in His hands to accomplish that plan. Let's keep our eyes on Him and not on the issues surrounding us. And then as He speaks, let's obey what He tells us to do.

If you do not receive Pastor Ben Dixon's emails, I've included a link to his most recent one HERE. Please read it. This is an excellent summary of where we are at as a church and how we'll conceptually be complying with state guidelines. It shows the balance of submitting to our civic authorities and also staying true to Scripture. Let the message challenge your thinking. It's too easy to go in one direction or the other, but we are called higher than the politics of the day! It's the Kingdom that matters!
