General News 

Welcome to another weekly newsletter, with Xmas fast approaching (37 days to go !) we have a busy time coming up here at the club with Xmas functions and our annual Kids Xmas party - see details further on. 
We will be putting our Xmas decorations up this weekend to really get into the spirit of Xmas.

Under our Xmas tree there will be a box for donations of non perishable food items - we will be sending them off to the Woman's refuge to help those less fortunate than ourselves.

Motorsports Car Sales Courtesy Van

Our van operates Thursday to Sunday from 3:00pm.
Just give us a call on 3478301 during opening hours, go through to the bar and book your pick up time.
To get home again, we make regular announcements throughout the night when the van is leaving shortly, so you just need to get yourself out into the foyer and hop on.

Note - we're starting to become busier with Christmas events coming up, and generally more members coming to enjoy the Club - if you can give us a little notice for pick up times that would be appreciated - and a little flexibility with pick up time would be good too - we will do our best to pick up up when you want but it depends on how many pick ups we have requested.
If you live in an area affected by roadworks please take that into account too - thanks!

For new members who don't know about this - this is a free service but we would appreciate it if you could drop a donation in the box on the bar. Thank you!


 

CT Leisure Club

 
Our next event is another delicious lunch at the  Club on Tuesday 24 November.  We will have lunch together and then a lesson on Petanque hosted by Valerie Price.  Cost is $13 per person and pay on the day. Please advise Win (details below) by 10:00am Monday 23rd November if you'd like to attend so we can organise catering for the yummy lunch.

We are hoping to have our bookshelf and library set up in the Club by then so please bring along a couple of books if you're keen and you will be able to borrow whatever you fancy. We've got a place planned for the bookshelf so it will be very soon!

We're also planning another outing - see below. There will be a stop at a cafe at some stage so you can buy a cup of tea or coffee, but it's sure to be an exciting trip and drive around. Please contact Neil if you'd like to book for this or have any questions (don't ask him where though as he's not going to tell you!)

Kids Xmas Party - Sunday 6th December

Don't forget to book your kids in for our annual Kid's Christmas Party - Sunday 6th of December from 11am. Please book by Monday 29th of November.
This year we have the "Balloon Man" who will be making all kinds of things with balloons 
Santa will be arriving around 12:noon - with gifts, then we'll fire up the barbie for a yummy sausage sizzle. We're planning on a poolside party with lots of splashy fun, but if the weather decides to not play nicely then panic not - we'll still have lots of fun indoors. 

Please register at the bar, and the cost is $8.00 per child.


 

Fishing News

Tarawera Trophy -  28th & 29th November.
$20 entry (Juniors $10)
Anyone can fish but you have to be a full financial member to be eligible to win the trophy.
All welcome, families welcome.

Golf News

This Weekend our golfers head over to Tauranga for this years Nationals to be played at Omanu. We wish then well for a successful tournament .

 

Quiz News

 Our November Quiz was close with a quickfire question to find the winner as we had a draw. Congratulations to Devoyd, who won. Our next quiz will be held on Monday 14th December.  This will be our grand Christmas Quiz! 

Our restaurant will be doing a special Xmas themed buffet for the great price of $15 per person, and if we could get an indication on those that would like to dine, please let Delwyn know. We will publish the menu next week.

Also there will be spot prizes, and prizes for Best dressed costume and Best table setting.
And dont forget to bring along cans or non perishable items for the food bank - this year we will be donating  these to Woman's Refuge.
