Friday Friends

with Kimberly Blackstock

In-person class | November 6 | 6:30 - 8:15pm

Once a month throughout the fall we will hold a “Friday Friends” for kids to get together and create artwork as well as join in on a creative conversation where they’ll get to know a little bit about one other. This is a great time for kids to develop technical skill while having fun in the studio with a friend or meeting new friends.

Needle Felting Christmas Elves

In-person class | December 13 | 12-4pm

In this workshop all students will needle felt a Christmas Elf. The students will wrap wool, make and tack facial features onto their figure in this fun and beginner friendly workshop.

Art Night for Youth

with Kimberly Blackstock

In-person class | November 26, December 10 | 6:30-8:30pm

Once a month a small group of youth will gather together with like-minded individuals who enjoy creating and developing their artistic skill. Each month participants will create a piece of art with guidance from professional artist Kimberly Blackstock as well as join in on a creative conversation. Kimberly will facilitate the conversation and students will be encouraged to share a piece of art they have been working on and/or any art books, art medium or artwork they have been introduced to and are excited about.

Needle Felting Holiday Ornaments

In this workshop all students will have the opportunity to needle felt Christmas ornaments with cookie cutters, snowmen and/or needle felt any ornament form of their choice. Wool Christmas colours will be provided to inspire your creativity! All supplies included.

Join us for our Physically Distanced Create Night with Christy! You’ll have lots of room to spread out with a canvas, paints, some snacks and a beverage! Don’t worry … this isn’t one of those paint-by-number affairs where you end up doing the same painting as everyone else. Christy will guide you with her technical expertise (and great sense of humour) to achieve your own personal masterpiece.

The annual Christmas Marketplace has become the signature event of the Blackberry Artist's Society. This highly anticipated exhibition and sale attracts visitors from the Tri-Cities and beyond to shop from our artisan-decorated Christmas tree and find that special one-of-a-kind gift in our shop and expanded gallery space.
