Hello,
We've got lots going on tomorrow at Common Good and are excited to share all the details with you!

1. We will have LEAF class tomorrow at 3:30 via Zoom.
3:30 Wednesday 11/18
https://zoom.us/j/93011550799?pwd=T3JwZ3JLVTEzN1hwODFpMlBGM0VpZz09
Meeting ID: 930 1155 0799
Passcode: LEAF

Tomorrow in class we will be learning about all the elements of a recipe and encouraging the students to write their own recipe for a creative toast that would be good for a snack or breakfast.  We'll be doing a demo, so if your kids would like to cook along, see the purple information box below to know what is needed.

Pickups at the Farm 2-5 pm, Gate facing the playground in the Park at LeDroit

2.  If you need some ingredients to use, we will be offering a "meal kit" with all the produce needed to make Roasted Pear and Sweet Potato Salad, but some items can be repurposed to use in Zoom class or of course for whatever recipes you like.  I think the included recipe makes a nice healthy Thanksgiving side, or you could add protein to make it a complete meal in itself.   Meal kits will be distributed from 2-5 pm tomorrow while supplies last.

3. Cooking Kits (same that were offered this past summer)- Please pre-register here, so that we can hold the kit for you and you don't have to rush to come right at 2, any kits not claimed with pre-registration will be given out while supplies last.

4. Also, if you are coming by to pick up the kid specific items, you are also invited to our last market of the season.  We'll have Large Assorted Produce Boxes for Giveaway, First Come, First Serve and Produce for Sale (We accept cash, credit, SNAP/ EBT, WIC & Senior FMNP).
Here is the list of items available for purchase:

  • Cranberries
  • Arugula
  • Brussel sprouts
  • Sweet and Spicy Salad Greens Mix
  • Beets: Chioggia & Gold
  • Green Cabbage
  • Carrots

We hope you can come by tomorrow and get some supplies for any holiday cooking you may have planned.  Although most of us are avoiding travel and family gatherings, we hope you can take comfort in making some of your favorite holiday dishes to enjoy with your household.
