NOW ACCEPTING NEW GARDENS FOR THE 2021 SEASON!

Reason to become a Garden Host:
  • Learn as you grow. Each week there is something new we highlight, look for and learn about in our gardens
  • Build community. Hosts are welcomed/encouraged to join us a few times a month to work on their garden and the gardens in their neighborhood!
  • Laugh just like me when I walk down the sparsely stocked organic fresh and canned veggie aisles in the grocery stores because I got that covered with my home-canned goods
  • Eat well. Our hosts keep an eye on the irrigation, weeds and marauding squirrels during the week but Jovial encourages them to eat from their own garden. We show up on Saturdays and harvest for donations.
  • Help the environment. With your veggies coming from your yard, not across the country or the world, you help reduce the carbon footprint of your food.
  • Use water wisely. Using our efficient Jovial drip irrigation systems, you significantly reduce the amount of water used.
  • Easy Outdoor Workout. Gardening is slow, easy movement.
  • Last but NOT least, help reduce food insecurity. So many more of our neighbors are experiencing hardships with COVID-19. This year we shared our harvest with the Jovial Concepts/The Co-op at 1 st USDA Emergency Food Box program and Denver Indian Center, Inc. We are right around 5000 pounds. We even beat last year’s total!
