Verge Valet Cambridge underway

Cambridge residents are making good use of the new Verge Valet system, with over 650 bookings received since bookings opened in early November.

Preliminary feedback shows that 8 out of 10 residents support the new system, with residents surveyed enjoying the easy booking process, flexibility of choosing a week that suits them, reduced kerb crawling and tidy verges.

Town of Cambridge will trial this new service with its residents for 18 months and will then review. The service continues for Town of Cottesloe and Town of Mosman Park with another Member Council maybe opting to participate in early 2021. Can you guess which Council?

To stay up to date with Verge Valet happenings, f
ollow us on Facebook or keep an eye on the WMRC, Town of Cottesloe, Town of Mosman Park and Town of Cambridge websites for details.

Bin tagging results

Bin-tagging has finished in the Towns of Claremont, Cottesloe and Mosman Park. It was encouraging to see that most properties tagged showed low levels of contamination. A small handful of recycling bins remained severely contaminated, even after consecutive tagging rounds where clear information was provided to residents on how to sort their waste. These bins were taped and not collected for recycling until the waste was sorted. Reducing contamination is important to maximise recycling rates.
