Dear <<First Name>>,
“I just wanted to cry; in that moment I felt like all the dreams I had for my child had be completely altered.”
We often hear versions of this emotional story from parents who have recently discovered their child has a mainstream learning difference. Many of these worries and concerns are based on misperceptions about what it means to have a child who learns differently.
If you are a parent who has shared this experience or an educator who supports the estimated 15 - 20% of mainstream students who are challenged by ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or dyscalculia (specific learning differences) and their related emotional conditions, you will want to hear this year's FOCUS Distinguished Speaker, Dr. Loretta Giorcelli, one of the region’s most experienced special education experts, share her knowledge and experience in two interactive sessions.
We are excited to welcome Dr. Giorcelli back and looking forward to seeing you at the workhsops.
Best Wishes,
Cheryl Raper, Chairman
Madelaine, Co-Chairman
