Invitation to two ULRHS Zoom meetings

Share more members’ gardens - Zoom meeting Wednesday 25 November, 7.15-8.30pm – please join online from 7.00pm
On Wednesday November 25th we’re having a second visit to members’ gardens following the success of our first venture into each other’s gardens back in August. The programme will be finalised on the day from the following members who have kindly agreed to talk:
- Jean Stacey looking at three winter-flowering plants
- Chris Elmore showing a view of his previous garden from some Australian visitors and all set to music (intriguing)!
- Jo Benke-Smith talking about local bird-ringing
- Tricia Boyd showing her garden created out of a building site
- Fiona Walker on her major garden restoration project
- An NGS video of a stunning garden

There will be an opportunity to ask questions of our speakers after each section. Jo Benke-Smith, chair of the trips and talks group, will act as our master of ceremonies for the evening.
Make a Christmas wreath Zoom workshop on Thursday 3 December 7.15-8.30pm – please join online from 7.00pm
Sarah Broom will be demonstrating how to make a Christmas wreath. Some of you may remember that Sarah created some lovely seasonal displays for us at our talk in January 2019.
If you would like to join Sarah in making a wreath you will need the following materials:
- Garden twine, string or strong metal reel wire.
- Garden scissors
- Moss or hay, straw or bound twigs can be used
- Wire wreath frame in metal, can be purchased online or at a local florist.
- Foliage of your choice - ivy, Christmas tree, holly and any foliage from the garden.
- Ribbons or decorations if desired.

You can work along with Sarah as she creates her wreath and you’ll be able to ask questions. Or you can just watch someone creating something beautiful.
