Just like a good insurance policy, you need to have protocols in place in case of an emergency, scandal or (negative) media event.

Business Continuity & Disaster Planning
Considering the 2-week ice storm/power outage event in OKC recently, here are a few tips on how small businesses can minimize the impact of weather, COVID-19 or a public relations disaster.
The best protection for your business is a well-written crisis management protocol (not a static plan) containing systems for internal communications, media relations and reputation management. These protocols keep an organization viable while a crisis (big or small) occurs and in the immediate time-frame after. Where business leaders often fail is waiting to “see how bad the damage is” before making a crisis management plan. This is a mistake. You need your protocols in place and communicated to everyone in your organization before any problem arises.
Your preparation, planning and training are worthless unless business leaders, key employees and responsible parties understand their roles in the crisis response process. Communication and training make protocols actionable. Ensure your team knows what to do when the time comes. When everyone plays their role, the outcome is much more secure.
Just like insurance, fire drills and security equipment, you need to have a well-developed crisis response plan in place with the hopes of never needing it. But when you do need it, the time and effort spent will replay itself many times over.

A logo is not branding. A logo is the visual representation of your brand. Branding is knowing “what defines your brand?”:
Who you are as a company
What your company does
What sets your company apart
Who buys your products/services
Why are consumers attracted to your products/services
How can you connect with the target market
In order to create a brand, you have to first understand.... Full Article
