We live in a time of incredible divisiveness, and nothing shows us more than the upcoming election. There is so much fear, misinformation, and possible disruption. And yet, we all know and love people on the other side of the aisle. Even if we don't understand each other's politics or the strategies we each use to meet our values, there is a place in each of us that is connected in unity and peace. Let us tap into and grow this. Let us be like Thich Nhat Hanh and hold the inherent goodness, forgiveness and peace in ourselves, each other and the world. Or in the words of Saint Francis of Assisi "where there is hatred let me sow love". |
