Cyclist.ie Newsbits

It has been another non-stop month of advocacy work at a national level. A Cyclist.ie delegation met with the Minister for Transport and officials, and with the new CEO of the RSA ahead of preparing our submission on the new Road Safety Strategy - and we had positive news of an allocation of a further €63.5 million towards greenway development in 2021.  Right now, we are making sure that Local Authorities know all about our Rural Cycling Vision, by sending hard copies of it to them. Our network of groups is getting stronger and in this article we interview Frank Ryan from the Waterford Bicycle User Group to hear all the news from the South East. Cyclist.ie is very happy to get behind An Taisce's online fundraising campaign to support the work of the National Cycling Coordinator, Dr. Damien Ó Tuama. We would be delighted if you can support this in any way you can.
