Tips for Handling the Pandemic
Sometimes you can’t help but feel out of control as this pandemic rages. Writer Jeannette Prather has come up with advice and support for families. “It’s important to remind yourself that this is a unique situation, a global health emergency that none of us has had to face before. Just When We Caught a Break, We Lost It

The Beach Boardwalk opened for locals to catch some rides last  weekend and it looked like we could start finding some happiness for a bit, but then things went red. The number of COVID-19 cases jumped in the county, coincidentally or not, two weeks after Halloween and we’ve had to slow down group activities.

The area’s best fun center is still open in part for locals and they are putting up a giant holiday tree. Here’s the latest on their Facebook page:

“Boardwalk rides and mini golf are now closed due to Santa Cruz County re-entering the Red (Substantial) Tier. Bowling will be open until Friday at 11pm. Outdoor games, food, shopping and Boardwalk Racers, our new pedal karts attraction, remain open. Guests with upcoming Ride Access reservations will automatically be refunded.

HOT DOG!

You know things are slow when the kid’s highlight of the week was visiting the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile. We have to admit, it was fun, but even more so with so many other activities in hiatus. A little bit of marketing went a big way as the hot dog company helped raise money for firefighters, got people out to a blood drive and is raising money for a kid’s service dog.

Here are some upcoming appearances:
