Question of the week

Q: Whenever I take the GABA and taurine stack I get a flush/ pins and needles reaction similar to a niacin flush.  Any ideas? - No name provided

A: GABA is quite powerful at promoting vasodilation at higher doses, so to prevent that flush, just take smaller doses. I'm a bit insensitive to most supplements in general, so I often have to take bigger doses.
Always try to find the minimum effective dose for you. Perhaps start with 500mg instead of 1.5g. If you still get a flush, then go down to 250mg.

Question for you guys: Have any of you guys tried out the GABA and taurine mix for better erections/performance? If so, let me know if and how well it worked for you by replying to this email.

Fun facts

Fun fact 1
Vitamin A is extremely important for the regeneration of tissue, such as the gut lining. Vitamin A is also essential for testosterone production, dopamine synthesis and it increases the dopamine D2 receptor in the brain, which is involved in libido.
I've been taking 50 000IU daily for 6 days now with 400IU vitamin E and I'm feeling great.

Fun fact 2
Vitamin D and zinc go very well together. Low zinc can lead to low vitamin D levels or at least making it very hard to increase vitamin D. Increasing vitamin D can increase the tissue stores of zinc, and increasing zinc intake can in turn also help to increase vitamin D levels.

Micronutrients are all intertwined and it's very important to meet your weekly requirements. The body is also very good at balancing out absorption and excretion. For example, when copper intake is low, absorption can increase to 90%, whereas on a high copper diet (such as with the consumption of lots of liver), absorption is reduced even down to 10%.

Stretching hack I've been implementing lately

Every evening when my wife takes a shower, I sit on the bed and stretch my hamstrings while I read a book. I hate stretching, but since I just sit and read, it doesn't even feel like stretching. Plus, I'm productive while I'm doing it, and I'm not taking time away that my wife and I can spend together at night.
Once you do this you'll never go back.

Self-investment and anxiety management

Reading and learning new things that will help you in your personal life, financial life, business life, etc., is always a great inventment to make. Books are one of the easiest ways to gain such knowledge.
For a few months now I haven't really read a lot outside of my field of interest, but I recently started again. If you're going to add something new to your life, make sure you schedule it otherwise it never gets done.
I now make sure I read for at least 30 min each morning and sometimes up to 60 min. Later the day I'll read another 30 minutes. If I don't schedule it first thing in the day, everything else gets done and at the end of the day, there is barely time for extra reading.
Relaxing and learning for an extra 30 minutes first thing in the day is a good way for me to practice self-control and patience instead of just starting with work right after our morning coffee and time together.

Diet follow-up

A few months ago I released this article, where I laid out my starch and fiber-free experiment. I've been getting quite a few messages asking if I'm still doing it, so I just want to give an update here as well.

Yes, I'm still doing it. My diet is currently milk, yogurt, honey, free-range (wild game) organ meat mix, oysters, and fruit.
This diet might seem a bit extreme to some, but it's because I don't crave anything else.

On occasions, my wife and I will get sushi or pizza, but I don't experience any regression in my health. And that's the beauty of eliminating gut irritation and inflammation. You build up your resilience and tolerance to foods that you weren't able to tolerate in the past.

And that's the whole goal of fixing your gut health. The goal of a diet is not to follow an extreme elimination-style diet for the rest of your life, but to enable you to enjoy a healthy way of eating while still being able to have other foods/dishes every now and then without you suffering side effects.

And that's what the Alpha Energy Nutrition Course is all about. It's about getting rid of the inflammation and resolving gut issues so that you can have dietary freedom again.

Gift for you guys

I'm offering free 60-minute skype calls (to discuss any health problems) for the first 5 men that contact me (no women because I don't coach women). This will be like a $150 skype consultation, but for free.
If you're interested, please let me know by replying to this email.

Alpha energy nutrition course news

I've updated Step 1 of the Alpha Energy Nutrition Course. Step 1 is about eliminating problematic food. I've added additional brand new videos as part of step 1 to make you aware of more problematic foods that might be affecting your health.

Before the end of this year, the gut course (which is now part of the Alpha Energy Nutrition Course), will be available on its own for those that just want to focus on optimizing their gut health.

New article released this week If you enjoy reading my articles and find them informative, please don't forget to share this content with others so that they can benefit from the information as well.
