BLUE MANNA BULLETIN

Good Morning Members!

Yes my lovelies it is Friday 13th today.  Try not to walk under any ladders, pass any black cats or break any mirrors...today is one of the most superstitious days on the calendar so take care!!

This Sunday is the Car Park Markets.  This is traditionally one of the biggest markets of the year before Christmas, so it will be worth your while getting out of bed and coming to the Club to grab a bargain and some Christmas presents as well.  Of course you can have your fill with the best bacon and egg sandwich in town for breakfast while you are here with a tea or coffee to keep you going!

Next Friday night is "Curry Night"!  We have great entertainment with "Pare Xtraordinare" playing and a delicious buffet of mouth watering curries and condiments on offer.  If you are not a curry lover, there is an alternative avaiable.  Tickets are on sale now at the office for $26.00 per person so get in quick for this is going to be another great night at the Club.

Kleenheat has a great offer available for members.  Make sure you take the time to read the attached flyer for a great deal.

Have a great weekend and whatever you choose to do, have a great time, stay safe and I will speak to you next week!

Bowls News

MENS BOWLS
Greetings Bowlers,

We are hosting the Open Fours this Wednesday 18th, there are still places available if you want to put in a team.  There will be no Social Bowls that day.

Sunday the 22nd and 29th of November is the Vets and Novice Championships.  For Novices you must be under two years as a bowler and Veterans over 70 before the 22 of November.  Depending on numbers we may need markers.  The draw will be done on Friday the 20th so plenty of time to register.

Mens Championship timings are 8.30 for 9.00 start unless otherwise advised.  Which means register at 8.30, event instructions at 8.40, on the green roll up 8.45, start game at 9.00.  If you are not there on time we will start without you, no extra time for rollups.

Wednesday social bowls continue to be well supported.  The latest Ladies and Mens Pennant boards are up and names for the Championship Boards will be up shortly.  See you on the green.

There is a Bowls Clothing order form on the Bowls Notice Board, the order will be put in shortly.  There won’t be another order until after Christmas.  All clothing purchases are through the main Club Office.

Good Bowling

INTER PRIMARY SCHOOL LAWN BOWLS CARNIVAL

CALLING ALL HELPERS!!!

6 of the 12 teams participating will be holding the Bowls Interschool Carnival at the Club this coming Friday 20th November.

We are looking for 18 bowls volunteers to help on the day.  Please be here at 8:30am with your Club shirt on and men and women are very welcome.

This is a great day for the kids of our local Community, so if you could put aside a few hours of your time it would be greatly appreciated.

For any enquiries please contact the office on
9582 2871.
Bowls Coaching Corner
One of the biggest faults that occurs is that players do not keep there feet and shoulders square to there line.  So on delivery make sure your hand is pointing along your line on delivery, then you will not turn your shoulders.

Monday afternoon at 2 pm coaching will be on through the pennant season come and get your basics checked , you could then maybe earn extra points for your team.

Coaching Clinics also 8.30 am Friday mornings

LADIES SCROUNGERS & YARDSTICK
A great ladies' day was had playing Scroungers in the morning and Yardstick in the afternoon.  The sponsors were Bunnings, Yuanman Chinese, Lazy Janes and LaBelle Patisserie.
Congratulations to the winners.

Men of the Trees Peel Branch

The Men of The Trees Peel Branch will be holding their last Native Plant Sale for the year at the upcoming PBSRC Carpark Markets. We have had a very successful year with our community plantings and Sunday sales at our new shed at the Club.

For the Markets we will be offering 2 plants for the price of 1. A great bargain at $2.50 for 2 locally grown plants. As usual we will have enthusiastic volunteers on hand to offer great advice to keen gardeners looking for a bargain and a foolproof plant for our coastal soils.
