Self Care Week Europe

Our friends in Europe have lots planned for Self Care Week:
#GoSelfCare

The “rules” are simple: go for a run or walk, take a picture (selfie or landscape; photography skills not really needed) and share it by mail engage@scie.eu or post this via your own favourite SoMe twitter/instagram/LinkedIn – using #GoSelfCare. Using #selfcareweek might be a good idea too?

Whether you prefer walking, running, riding a bike (or even swimming), you’re taking a step to show practical self-care connects people – even when we’re not able to meet.

#GoSelfCare already has participants in Germany, Greece, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, UK – and the US(!)- and you’re welcome too!

If you’d like participate, write to them at engage@scie.eu or link/connect to our LinkedInTwitter, or Instagram. Or simply share #goselfcare. And enjoy your self-care, while you’re helping create awareness and connections.

Self Care Week UK
Organised by the Self Care Forum, this years strap line
is Live Self Care for Life.
Organisations are being encouraged to use Self Care Week as a hook to help people “live” self care for a healthier, happier life.

We are delighted to have been invited to speak at the final virtual conference of EFFICHRONIC on 18th November 2020.

The EFFICHRONIC project provides evidence of the positive return of investment and cost-efficiency of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Programme (CDSMP) in 5 different European countries (France, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain and UK)

Our Director Jim Phillips will be speaking on:

Supporting self-management - The role of health care professionals and health systems.

“The CDSMP provides people with the skills and confidence to manage their long term health condition. A key part is working in partnership with health care professionals- this session will explore the skills and tools needed for health care workers to support people to self-manage and self-care.”
